Grand Reaper + Chords of Darkheart

If Grand Reaper and Chords of Darkheart are played during the same turn, Grand Reaper penetrates this shield to KO it's intended target. The effects of Grand Reaper penetrate the effects of Chords of Darkheart, and do NOT distribute to other players. Chords of Darkheart distributes ratings, not effects. 

 

Grand Reaper > Edge of Infinity Combo
Playing Edge of Infinity after Grand Reaper results in Edge of Infinity with a rating = 0 and no special effects. Edge of Infinity only inherits rating, not effects. Grand Reaper has a rating = 0

Grand Reaper +  Peace
If Grand Reaper and Peace are played during the same turn, Grand Reaper still succeeds. Grand reaper has an "instant" effect, that occurs before other cards, and a "penetration" effect, which goes through the defensive Peace card.

Grand Reaper +  Sacred Sabre

If Grand Reaper and Sacred Sabre are played during the same turn, Grand Reaper still succeeds. Grand reaper has an "instant" effect, that occurs before other cards, and a "penetration" effect, which goes through the defensive effects of the Sacred Sabre card.

Grand Reaper +  Shield of Ages

Grand Reaper is blocked by Shield of Ages. Although Grand Reaper "penetrates defenses", Shield of Ages "cannot be penetrated".

Grand Reaper +  Theft

If the user of Grad Reaper is hit with Theft, Theft cancels and steals Grand Reaper. Both Grand Reaper and Theft have "instant" effects, so this priority conflict is resolved based on rating. Theft's rating of 1 is greater than Grand Reaper's rating of 0.
